2019 Ford F-150 Get Improvements, Diesel Engine

The legend that is the Ford F-150; America’s favorite vehicle and FoMoCo’s cash cow – the gift that keeps on giving, certainly for Ford at least. Their competitors may not agree!

The F-Series trucks were introduced by Ford all the way back in 1948 and have been strong sellers ever since. The F-150 has been top of the charts of the years; yes, Americans love a truck, but in particular, they love the Ford F-150. It’s a great combination of looks, power, towing ability and reliability, it just does everything you need it to.

Reveal as 2019 model year

The 2019 Ford F-150 is expected to hit the showrooms in the third quarter of 2018, as a 2019 Model Year. Ford haven’t released that much official information yet, but thanks to its popularity, they won’t be delaying the launch.

2019 Ford F-150 Competitive Price

Despite being #1 in the sales lists, the F-150 has to remain competitive price-wise, if Ford puts the price up too much, it’s in danger of losing that much coveted number one spot.
Current pricing starts at $28,025 for the entry level model, so we’d be surprised if the 2019 F-150 is much more than that, despite the upgrades.

Changes and Diesel Engine

The 2018 Ford F-150 has undergone quite a number of changes, so we’re aren’t expecting anything revolutionary with the 2019 model, it’s likely that we’ll see a few minor styling updates, special editions and color schemes.

For 2018, Ford introduced the diesel engine to the line up; a 3.0 liter Power Stroke motor, and although America isn’t generally that keen on diesel, the F-150 hasn’t suffered because of it.
Other engine choices will remain the same as the current line up; the 3.3 liter Ti-VCT V6, 2.7 liter EcoBoost, 5.0 liter Ti-VCT V8 and the 3.5 liter EcoBoost. All motors are coupled to a ten speed auto transmission.

2019 Ford F-150 New Equipment

Ford introduced some nice touches last time round, we expect them to remain – side mirror mounted spotlights, cargo load LED lighting and the popular Dynamic Hitch Assist feature – giving you a visible line of sight on the instrument display, making hitching up a trailer the work of one person.

Other than that, the infotainment system will get a further upgrade, with the FordPass app getting more functionality, the SYNC Connect will sync your smartphone to the vehicle and give you mobile Wi-Fi and scheduled vehicle starting – remote starting.

We can’t wait for the 2019 Ford F-F150, what are you expecting to see from it? Let us know
