2018 Super Duty ready for heavy load

The 2018 Ford Super Duty pickup truck combines a bit of everything; sporty (ish) performance, well-trimmed and equipped cabin and the utilitarian features needed for pretty much any eventuality. No wonder that it’s one of the best-selling vehicles in America.

The next generation promises to be even more; Ford are going all out to gain a further market share, to take on the competition head-to-head and to show just what they can do.

2018 F-150 Super Duty unlikely to appear; The basis for Super Duty trucks are F-250 model and 2018 Ford F-350 Super Duty, which has the same body and engine range, differenciate by frame rigidity and ability to install double wheels in rear.

What will the 2018 ford super duty look like? First off, we know that the new model will lose a bit of weight, thanks mainly to lighter-weight body panels, which will be nearly all aluminum. This reduction in weight will mean that the pickup will ride a bit better and return better gas mileage, although don’t expect to hear the phrase ‘economical’ when referring to it, even the diesel is going to be thirsty.

Ford Super Duty 2018 Release date and Price

When are the 2018 Super Duty coming out? Ford are being a bit coy when it comes to release date and prices, but we think that we’ll see the new 2018 Ford Super Duty either at the very end of 2017 or perhaps even running in to early 2018. Super Duty 2018 for Australia has not been announced, and it's release date is not stated.

Despite being well-equipped and packed with tech, the 2018 Ford F-250 Super Duty will still be very reasonably priced; rumors put the prices starting around $34,000 although for the full loaded version, you could be looking at over $60,000 by the time you’ve finished.

Powerful Engines

Speaking of diesel… we think that there will be two 2018 Super Duty engines when the pickup truck arrives on sale, they will be a 6.7 liter V8 2018 ford super duty diesel that should see 440 BHP but a staggering 860lb/ft of torque or a 2018 Super Duty engine (gasoline) which is 6.2 liter V8. Both will have forced induction and both engines will run through a 6-speed auto transmission.

2018 Super Duty EcoBoost engine is not available, because the turbocharged engines are not reliable enough in tough conditions 2018 Ford Super Duty trucks designed for. The only exception is turbodiesel.

We also know that the suspension is being upgraded from the current model, whether that is for handling and ride or making it more heavy duty, we don’t know for sure, but we think it’s to beef it up a little.

Meanwhile, on the inside, 2018 Super Duty updates include a new camera system, all hi-def; there are 7 cameras in total, giving an unprecedented view around the car, all viewable through the 8” HD touchscreen that also controls the infotainment system.

We’ll also see USB, Bluetooth, Park Assist, Lane Assist, Wi-Fi and Navigation. 2018 Super Duty Platinum would have more advanced interior with leather trimming.

Design Improvements

Externally, expect to see changes for 2018 F250 Super Duty new design to the front and rear bumpers, stacked LED headlamps, LED turn signals and big chrome grille, other than that, it will resemble the current model. The 2018 Super Duty redesign add more brutality to the truck.
