2017 Mercedes E300 Provides The New Level of Luxury In The Class
2017 Mercedes E300 is a premium mid-size sedan.
Mercedes-Benz have concentrated on making the E-class more about subtle luxury rather than sporty German performance. You could almost imagine that the target demographics for the E are a little more mature, perhaps quite comfortable in their retirement, some would even say ‘Baby Boomers’.
But is that fair?
Of course, Mercedes want to gain the biggest slice of the market possible, but for them to attract the younger buyer, the people that need to be somewhere, Mercedes need to make the E300 not feel like it’s wafting along without a care in the world.

The base model Mercedes-Benz E300 MSRP starts at $54,000. With toys and options, you could quite easily add a further $15,000 to that price. It is more pricey than main rival - BMW 5-series.

2017 Mercedes E300 Specs
Let’s start under the hood; if you want anything other than a 4-cylinder 2.0 liter turbo which makes 241 BHP and 273 lb/ft of torque, you’ll need to upgrade to something like the E43 or even the E63. Mercedes won’t be offering any other choices in that department. But having said that, if motors and performance are your thing, you won’t be wanting to drive around in an E300 anyway; sporty it isn’t. Power will be sent to the rear wheels via a 9-speed auto transmission, unless you opt for the 4-MATIC all wheel drive system, another $2,400 and 140lb weight addition.
Despite having no sporting pretensions whatsoever, Mercedes will be offering three different suspension setups on the new model; traditional non-adaptive steel dampers, electronic adaptive damping and air suspension. We’d guess that for full on luxo-barge cruising, the air suspension system will be best suited, but that is a $1,900 extra – how much do you value your comfort?2017

2017 Mercedes E300 Interior
In the 2017 Mercedes E300 interior, there is some pretty neat technology and features, including the semi-autonomous driving feature; the car taking complete control of the driving, but for 60 seconds only at any one time.
We can’t deny that the interior is well made and full of stylish soft touch plastic, real wood trim and metal accents, it also has the Active Multicontour front seats fitted, meaning that comfort is pretty much guaranteed. The interior looks much better than boring inner world of Audi A6.
